In-House Glass Bending Tooling for Consistent Parts

Auto Temp builds its glass bending tooling in-house. That keeps part quality consistent and saves customers time and money. Our skilled craftsmen use a 3-axis CNC router, complex bending irons, and checking fixtures and gauges to make and finish glass parts to close tolerances. We make bending rings on-site, check tool shapes with fixtures, handle artwork design and application, and build custom assembly fixtures to speed up production.

What types of tooling does Auto Temp build?

  • Cylindrical tooling: male, full-surface and barrel gauges
  • CBTS complex tooling: male, with a 10 mm ledge A datum and a center sag indicator
  • Complex bending irons: hinged or fixed, designed for tempering glass
