Quality Control Built Into Every Stage of Production

As an ISO 9001 tempered glass manufacturer, Auto Temp checks quality at every step, from raw glass to finished part, not only at the end of the line. Every part gets a 100% visual inspection at three separate points in processing. Sample inspections happen at every stage of manufacturing, and optical distortion and fragmentation tests run during tempering. Our Quality Control team and a manufacturing engineer also do periodic, random test-fits on real vehicles to confirm fit and form.

What tolerances and standards does Auto Temp meet?

Standard glass size tolerance is +0.00"/-0.03", and form tolerance is ±0.06", unless the customer asks for something different. Our quality system is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our glass meets ANSI/SAE Z26.1, FMVSS 205 and ECE standards, so it qualifies for vehicles sold in both North America and Europe.
